Venue Spotlight: Madison-Jefferson County Public Library

This week's spotlight is the Madison-Jefferson County Public Library at 420 West Main Street in downtown Madison. It's a lot more than a place to borrow books. Along with the catalog, digital books and media through Hoopla and OverDrive, and public computers and Wi-Fi, the library offers meeting spaces, children's and teen departments, a seed library, a local author shelf, and a deep local history and genealogy collection with access to Ancestry.com and Newspapers.com. The Madison library is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it's closed on Sunday. You can call 812-265-2744 or visit https://www.mjcpl.org.
