Paint & Sip ~ Georgia O'Keeffe Style

Date: Monday, October 12, 2026 Time: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM Presenter: Russ Vossler Location: Madison Auditorium Library: Madison Public Library For nearly a century, O’Keeffe’s representations of the beauty of the American landscape were a brave counterpoint to the chaotic images embraced by the art world. O’Keeffe is probably best known for her flower paintings, which comprised about 10% of her total work.  Even though she was varied in her approach and subjects—her bones and skulls, landscapes of New Mexico and New York City, figures and portraits, drawings, and minimalist pieces are also major parts of her output.  Overall, she was interested in abstraction in varying degrees. Instructor Russ Vossler will paint along with the participants, giving guidance step-by-step in the copying of a painting. You will have a finished art piece by the conclusion of the program. Supplies and refreshments provided. Adult and Young Adult. Registration required.
