Madison Parks and Recreation planted a Liberty Tree at John Paul Park earlier this year through the Liberty Tree Program, with sponsorship from the local Sons of the American Revolution chapter. Now the tree gets its formal dedication. The Clifty Creek Chapter of the SAR and the John Paul Park Chapter of the DAR are hosting the short ceremony as part of America's 250th celebrations, honoring the role Liberty Trees played during the American Revolution. The public is welcome. Hosted by Madison Parks and Recreation with the Clifty Creek Chapter SAR and John Paul Park Chapter DAR. More info: https://www.facebook.com/events/1119152520587486/
