Cleaning out the garage before winter? Post your yard sale on AroundMadison and neighbors around Madison, Hanover and Jefferson County can find it on our Yard Sale Map.

Our Yard Sales page (https://aroundmadison.com/yard-sales) lists every active and upcoming sale in one place. Shoppers can switch between a list and a map, filter by Open now, Today, Tomorrow or This weekend, and narrow it down by what they're after: tools, furniture, kids, clothing, electronics, collectibles, household, lawn & garden, auto, free items and more. They can even add sales to "My Route" to plan their stops.

Your privacy is up to you. Your neighborhood or area is always shown, but your exact street address only goes on the public map if you check the box to share it.

How to post your sale

1. Go to https://aroundmadison.com/yard-sales and tap Post a sale.

2. Sign in or join. Browsing is open to everyone, but posting needs an account (you can join with Facebook, Google or email).

3. Add photos of your best stuff (up to 6).

4. Give it a title, like "Big Multi-Family Sale on the Hilltop."

5. Enter your neighborhood or area. This always shows publicly.

6. Optional: add your exact address, and check "Publish my exact address on the public Yard Sale Map" if you want a pin on the map. Leave it unchecked and only your area shows.

7. Set your start and end date and time.

8. Tap the categories that fit what you're selling, add a description, and post it.

Your sale drops off the list by itself after it ends, so there's nothing to clean up.
